Do I need to worry about sensor damage?
My neighbor reached out to me yesterday to let me know they tapped my 2018 CR-V by accident. I’m assuming they were backing out of their parking space opposite mine and just misjudged.
When I inspected the vehicle today, there was no sign of any damage. The only thing that happened was that the sensor cover below the Honda logo just below the hood was knocked out. It was on the ground in front of the car and seemed to pop back in without issue.
Do I need to worry about damage to the sensor as a result of that small impact? Or was the cover doing its job by protecting the sensor? I need to make sure there’s no possible damage before I tell her we’re all good. I really don’t know how the sensor works so any advice would be appreciated.
