I was prescribed .625 oral minoxidil in Nov. 2025. I haven’t been able to get a diagnosis. I suddenly started shedding in June 2025 and by August 2025 I lost half of my density. My dermatologist noted TE but due to the pattern of hairloss she said it could possibly be androgenic alopecia; however no one in my family has had alopecia, even my dad has a full head of hair at 54. My labs suggest possible anemia but not low enough for a diagnosis either.. I have a few labs I need to get done still. I suspect possibly thyroid issues. Anyways, does this look like improvement? I’m a bit discouraged because the crown kind of looks worse, but the overall health looks better and I’ve had major regrowth in the rest of my part.
My derm said due to the low dose of minoxidil I’ll need to wait at least a year to notice density at the crown.
