Another Poekie update!
Hey everyone! Sorry for the late update, the last couple of days have been busy.
Poekie is doing fine! She has not yet delivered her kitten.
Yesterday, she had a slimy string attached to her and she pushed a bit of placenta out. We called the clinic who told us not to worry, and we went to our vet today just to make sure.
The vet told us that the kitten is very active and she is due any moment now, maybe tonight or maybe tomorrow. If she has not delivered on thursday then we'll come back so they can give her a hormonial injection which should boost the initiation of the birth process. The piece of placenta was probably from another miscarriage, I didn't mention this in the previous post but Poekie had two other kittens that didn't make it through the early stage. Out of the three heartbeats the vet saw during the echo only one developed fully as a lot of you saw on the X-ray in our previous update.
Long story short, Poekie is due any time and if there are complications then we'll know where to go :)
