Painted a moose for my mom! I used to paint a lot when I was younger, but I haven’t in years. I just recently decided to get back into it and this is my second painting since starting this hobby again, I’m having a lot of fun getting back in the swing of it!
I think I have a pretty cool looking setup if I do say so myself😎 they look pretty good together. My weekend has been entirely dedicated to taking care of these two, I planned on taking the boat out all week but had to do some maintenance on the outboard first. Got that done pretty quick, and then an issue popped up in the H3. Fixed that, and then a tire went flat on the boat trailer. Now after 2 days of running around and a couple hundred dollars in parts later, I’m ready to hit the water tomorrow morning 😂
Update on my bear painting. I thought I was done, but I got a lot of comments about the bear swimming with vegetables (chili peppers, carrots, eggplants, etc) so I put a little more work into it and I’m a lot happier with it now! Just toned down the fish a bit and added some reflections on the water to make it look like they’re actually IN the water and not just floating on top. I didn’t like the way they stood out so much, but I was scared that I was gonna mess it up if I tried fixing it, but I worked up the courage to paint on top of the fish and I’m glad I did haha. I feel like it looks a lot more natural now than it did before. Just wanted to share the update, second slide is how it was before, first slide is it now! I’m going to be putting it in the mail to send to my boyfriend this weekend, I’m excited for him to get it!
Just painted this bear for my boyfriend! He just moved into a new apartment and I wanted to make him something nice to hang up in the new place. He loves bears and anything nature related. I haven’t painted in a long time, so I’m really pleased with how this turned out given how rusty I am haha. Just wanted to share and hear what you guys think!
