I'm continually blown away that an animal the size of a small horse could find a way to live (and seemingly thrive) in such a built up environment as ours. How do they get about? What do they eat? Whatever you're doing, keep on doing it guys because it's ace.
Got my eye on the Kongsheng Mars after only having square holes so far. Interesting to see if there is any real difference.
Cows were VERY interested in my harping today, a small stampede over from one side of the field to the other. Seeing as I could get right up to the fence they got a little *too* close and I was in danger of getting pronged by a stray horn. Anyhow, despite my awful racket they seemed to enjoy it. Any harp players who live anywhere near cows should absolutely give this a shot. An audience that literally cannot complain!
Still seeing people splayed out in the street at 8am of a morning. Is this the 'city of the future' we were promised? I appreciate homelessness is a complex issue but we've got a long way to go before we can hold our heads up high.
Parked up outside on Ashton Road at 9am. Hordes of people magically creep out of the streets to go down a back alley in Oldham. Massive warning signs - NO PHOTOGRAPHY, NO LIVE BLOGGING, NO UNDER 17'S (?). Wall to wall cake at £5 a pop. Anyone else experienced this?
Continuing my attempts to get cows into harp music. Almost total indifference from this bunch. The ginger one nearest to me did close her eyes, so maybe she found it soothing or had a headache...who can tell? Onwards and upwards.
I'm thinking of taking one more car off the road and cycling in from Ashton. Does anyone else do this journey regularly? Am I being over optimistic about the distance involved on a daily basis?
