If you could redesign ventilators from scratch – what would you fix?
I work for one of the larger ventilator companies, and we’re currently in the early stages of developing a completely new platform (it’ll be a few years before it’s released).
I’ve been lurking here for about a year and reading a lot of your discussions, and I’d really value your input.
From a clinical perspective:
– What would you want in an ideal ventilator?
– What are the most frustrating parts of the ventilators you use today?
– If you could design a “dream ventilator,” what would it look like / how would it function?
Appreciate any thoughts – especially from those of you working bedside.
