Hair loss support

My boyfriend has stage 4 cancer he is about to change up his chemo and he’s going to lose hair with this one. He’s shaved his hair before and looks good with it, but I know it’ll be different since this time he won’t be able to have his mustache of beard. How can I support him? I wanna try and make sure he doesn’t feel horrible about himself. I think he’s handsome no matter what!

Protein markers question

Hi all, first time writing here-

My boyfriend has stage IV gastroesophageal (GE) cancer and I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced tumor markers rising after a longer break from chemo/immunotherapy.

He went almost 20 days without treatment due to delays. (he’s on Folfox every 4 weeks) Earlier today the doctor told us there had been an overall decline in his markers, but when the newest labs came back afterward, one of the markers had nearly doubled from the last test. We’re talking with the doctor again, but it definitely scared us.

Has anyone had tumor markers rise during a treatment break and then drop again once treatment resumed? Or had rising markers but stable/good CT scan results?

We have his first CT scans next week after starting treatment.

Would really appreciate hearing others’ experiences or advice. Thank you.
