I just spent a while listening to Talking Heads playlists on Youtube, and I can't believe that the song in my head isn't by them.

Anyway, the chorus goes:

"Dah duh-dah-dah, duh dah-daaaah" repeatedly throughout the song.

Then the singer says a brief line, something like "And the sun went down", followed by more "Da duh-dah, duh dah-daaaah" after each line. The singer sounds like David Byrne.

It's not "Da da da" by Trio.
