Got a job offer for 'Free trial'
Hello everyone. I finally got an interview at a clinic in Dubai which was owned by a Pakistani through my friend's referral & they asked about my experience in customer service. I answered honestly about not much experience there but I am willing to learn and work hard. The job was 6 days a week for 9 hours per day. Commute is 40 mins away as well hence why I requested a salary of 4.5 to 5k atleast to compensate. The HR replied by saying that my demands are too high for no experience and she would only work based on commission for a customer service role btw 🥲
Later she concluded by saying, "Okay if not that I can give you a week's worth of work which will be UNPAID free trial to see your performance and based on that we will assess you to hire or not"
It was a home healthcare and they give expensive services as well. I am not quiet sure how this is normal. Please share your experience and if anybody can help me with a referral that does not work on borderline slavery 😭😭
I accept a salary of 4k or 5k but atleast it has to be fair because everything can be learned on the job process for basic customer service roles, it's not really that deep 🙏
