Please help, he is moving out soon and planning to rip the house apart.
Location: Lanoka Harbor, New Jersey.
My mother's boyfriend has been living in my grandmother's house for about 11 years and decided to move out, but he is not the owner, is he allowed to remove and take a sink and other things that he bought, even if those things were given ownership to other members in the house?
He simply bought these items and gifted them to other members in the house such as myself and my grandmother, but now he is saying since he bought them that he will take them.
He sometimes helps with the bills, but only occasionally, and installed the sink and floorboards in partly by himself. But he is in no way the owner of the property.
We don't want him to remove the floorboards or the bathroom sink, and we don't want him to remove the jacks from under the house because then the floor will collapse and cause severe damage to the house. But he is very upset that we hate him and want him to move out, so he keeps saying he will rip out everything he ever paid for, including parts of walls.
Please tell me if i could call the police on him for any of this, especially for the walls, bathroom sink, and the jacks under the house that couse cause severe damage if they are taken out.
