Any side effects from lactoferrin?

My daughter has iron deficiency and higher dose iron seems to not agree with her. See a lot of talk about lactoferrin and thinking of trying it. Anyone have any bad side effects from it? If so did they go away quickly with stopping?

15 year old daughter should we do more?

Hello. My 15 year old daughter is getting more and more facial hair. A couple years ago it started with upper lip, then it went to side burns, and now she has some chin hairs. It gets waxed or trimmed sometimes. She is hypothyroid and has hashimotos, but with medication her thyroid levels are supposed to be good. In January they did testing and her endo said her testosterone was ok. She went to the regular doctor around that time and she said it was just a normal teen girl thing and gave suggestions how to trim, wax or like bleach it. I'm very concerned something is wrong with her hormones or something. Think she has an endo appointment in July. Should we be doing more? I keep feeling like something is wrong and she needs more help. Oh, endo didn't think she has pcos because her periods are regular and well maybe some other testing.

Meat Tastes bad?

My teen daughter is iron deficient and doesn't like most meats. The only meats she will eat are very processed like sausage, ham, hotdogs, and meatballs. She won't touch grilled chicken or steak or any normal meats. I searched and found others that have posted here that felt meat tasted bad so I think it may have something to do with the deficiency. I've found sources suggesting its from iron deficiency and others saying its from iron supplements. Anyone here have an idea what it might be? Given there is iron in meat it would be good if she would eat more.

Vitamin D helped for months then didn't

I'm hoping somebody here can make sense of this. My teen daughter has been very moody and antisocial recently. In my attempts to find what's wrong I believe she has a iron deficiency. Here are her numbers:

Iron 44

Iron Binding Capacity 414

Percent saturation 11

Ferritin 40

Been trying to supplement iron for years now and sometimes it seems to put her in a good mood, other times not. Giving her too much seems to give her bad gas. So we just consistently give her smaller doses.

About a year and a half ago I started giving her 2000IU of vitamin D like 3 times a week. Within days she became super social and so much less moody. Seemed like a miracle. This lasted for like 9 months and then just seemed to run out. Tried more vitamin D which didn't help. A few weeks ago stopped D for a bit and went to magnesium. This seemed to be helping for like 3 weeks then she went back to moody.

Can anyone here make sense of this? Is there something about the iron deficiency and vitamin D that can make sense of this? I really want her back and happy. Some of her symptoms are moody, fatigue, says back arms and legs sometimes hurt, become very antisocial...

My teen daughter was doing great last year. She was tested and her vitamin D was only 30 so she started supplementing. She quickly went from very antisocial to very fun and social. This went on for like 9 months then just seemed to slowly run out. Reading up we started taking magnesium. That seemed to work well for a few weeks and then started giving vitamin d again a few times a week 2000IU and things going ok. Then she just got moody. Stopping supplements she seemed to get a little better. Any thoughts on what is going on? I miss her as she's back to antisocial.
