Texas Perdiz
Best example I’ve ever had the privilege of owning. It is extremely thin with very long barbs — rarely find a piece of this caliber without any breakage. Thought you all would enjoy.

Just finished these for now. Trying to think of cooler ways / patterns to display them in. My next goal with the montells is to make an evolution frame from super sharpened down to first stage Montell.
Welcome back for the part 2. I decided to get some closer up pictures and see if we could come to a decisive answer. Thanks for everyone’s input!!
I recently came across this item and although I collect mainly projectile points, I could not turn this opportunity down.
It is out of New Mexico and from my limited experience with pottery it looks old and tempered. I have never seen one with seeds still inside—they resemble squash to me and they look very old as well.
Would love some input on what I have here. What I should do? And any next steps.
Disclosure: I did not dump them out that was the previous owner.
Thanks in advance, these aren’t for sale. I would love some help with telling me what I have here. Anything special worth keeping/grading? Willing to compensate someone for some expertise.
Recently got this Scotty. Grinding is right on the stem. No standout hinges but little to no mineral deposits. It’s a big one, comes in at over 4”
Would be my holy grail but not keeping my hopes too high. Might have to send it off.
Made some big updates to the Texas A Frame. My most special points, best I’ve ever had the privilege of owning. Hope you all enjoy. Would love to hear y’all’s thoughts.
Here’s a pic of my updated Montell frame, gained a few more. Hope y’all enjoy.
Labeled Henderson co. KY.
The drilled hole seems to be too perfect, metal bit?
There is dirt in the tiny holes but I know that can be applied. Any feedback will help. Thanks.
New set of points I’ve been collecting for a new frame, hope y’all enjoy. 90% Texas and some Louisiana.
Need some help. Really hoping you all agree with my agate basin proposal. Moss agate point out of Montana with some older looking flaking.
