I have a colleague who is clearly struggling with mental health. To be completely honest, he is not at all good at his job (partly due to lack of experience) and he is constantly putting himself down for it, calling himself useless/an idiot etc whenever he makes a mistake. My company offers a lot of mental health resources but this colleague doesn't use them because "he doesn't want to be a bother".

I'm getting worried about this guy and am wondering if it would be appropriate for me to tell our manager about these concerns so that he can help this colleague get some support from the company or move him to a role that might cause him less stress.
