Help! My manjula has suddenly started to have aggressively yellowing leaves and many with yellow dots on them.

I thought it was a case of being too root bound, so I repotted into a slightly bigger pot. When doing so, I also (to my demise) found some white bugs on the soil, but I have ruled out mealybugs, scale, and thrips. Since repotting, I have not seen any more bugs. I did not take photos of the bugs, so unfortunately don’t have that. From what I can tell, there aren’t any bugs on the leaves themselves, front or back.

The room it’s in gets plenty of south sun during the day, and the pot has drainage holes. I water when the top two inches of soil is dry.

Should I chop and prop? I hate seeing her this way :(
