Hi everyone! When evaluating offers, what are some questions I should be asking HR to ease the transition & move?
In my contract, it has the base salary, housing allowance and relocation allowance. The rest is just a job description.
I am single so don’t have any dependents.

What has everyone’s experience been with negotiating start dates? A few schools are advertising for July and they seem eager to meet me, but my profile says September, which I am pretty firm about.
And if anyone has experience, would love some tips! Obviously not wanting to mess around with admin (for both past and future school)

My partner (also teacher) and I are looking to move overseas to teach within the next year. We are Australian so work in the Jan-Dec system and have approx 3 years experience each in humanities/economics and maths/science.
What is the likelihood of us both being employed - we aren’t super picky with where we end up, as long as it allows us to travel & enjoy our day to day.
Are there any places people recommend? Are there many positions in January? The job market seems super competitive based off this reddit page which we didn’t anticipate.
I know most applications have passed for the new school year but we are starting to plan forward now! Any advice would be appreciated.
