As mentioned, I spent a year working at the number one digital pathology company and I can honestly say leadership and management are total scumbags.
They brought me on for 135k to serve as a level 1 full stack engineer and here's some highlights from my hellacious year with the scummiest people I've ever met.
They forced me to sit through an 8 hour Access25 movie shoot booked during my scheduled PTO, which was approved, while I bled out of a part of my body I hope nobody has to bleed out of, causing permanent damage to my body.
I put on demo's for major market analysts like Imogen Fitt after spending 6 months working 60-80 hour weeks to which leadership said wasn't enough.
When leadership cut engineerings all hand lunches I was forced to pay for the pizza parties to keep engineering's spirit alive.
and the only time leadership ever had an issue with a mid-level engineer running wild within their capitalist system was when I asked them to reassess my compensation fairly, to which they fired me for harrassment and blocked me on all platforms.
I'm choosing to speak up now, because what these guys are pushing is downright dangerous for all of us. Proscia isn't only coming after the Patholigists. They're cannibalizing themselves as well and it's absolutely disgusting.
