Paid Psychology Research Opportunity
We are currently recruiting: (a) individuals with lived experience of schizophrenia spectrum conditions; or (b) individuals with no significant mental health issues in the past year to participate in a research study on perception and personal life experiences. The goal of our study is to understand how people with schizophrenia and related conditions perceive things around them, and how this might affect their daily experiences. Through this work, we hope to understand more about what causes these illnesses, so that we can find better options for treatment and care.
As a participant, you will complete:
- an interview about your mental health (over the phone or video chat)
- an in-person visit to Michigan State University’s Psychology Department for a research interview and computer tasks that measure visual and auditory perception. In total, the entire study will take around 4 hours to complete.
To be eligible, you must be:
- between 18-79 years of age and EITHER
- (a) have lived experience of schizophrenia spectrum conditions OR
- (b) have had no serious mental health issues in the past year
You will be paid $20/hour for your time, plus transportation costs.
