Sharing my experience with Agarwal Packers & Movers so others can make an informed decision.

I booked Agarwal Packers & Movers for shifting within Bangalore (Marathahalli → Koramangala) on 13th March. The move was scheduled for 28th March, and I specifically chose them after a lot of research because I needed 1 week of storage as well. Total cost agreed: ₹40,000, with ₹5,000 paid in advance.

Things started going wrong even before the move

On 27th March, till 7 PM, I hadn’t received any call or confirmation about the packing team. Naturally, I got worried and called the agent, Jai Prakash.

He casually asks me if shifting can happen on 29th instead.

I had already planned to leave for Mysore/Coorg the next day, so I clearly refused. After some back and forth, he “managed” to arrange it for 28th—but initially said only 2 people would come for a 2BHK move.

After pushing, he agreed to send 3 people.

Note: My wife and I had already packed ~10 cartons ourselves (clothes, electronics, kitchen stuff, etc.) to make things easier.

Packing day – complete chaos

Three guys showed up. Only 2 knew what they were doing. One guy looked totally lost.

Within 1 hour of starting, they took a 1-hour break

Packing dragged on till 6:30 PM

Society rules don’t allow trucks after 6 PM, so everything became rushed and messy

The scene at the ground floor lobby was honestly embarrassing—cartons everywhere, things scattered, people staring.

At one point:

One of the guys disappeared

I had to help push my own two-wheeler into the truck

By the end of it, I was completely drained—physically and mentally.

Delivery delays and excuses

Delivery was supposed to be on 4th April.

Again, no communication.

When I called Jai Prakash at 6 PM, he casually said:

“Kal toh possible nahi hai” (tomorrow not possible)

No apology. No explanation.

After arguing, he again said they can only send 2–3 people.

Meanwhile, my new place had just been painted and was unlivable due to the smell. So I requested to delay delivery by 2 days (to 6th April). He claimed the truck was already loaded in “30 mins” (which honestly sounds like a lie).

I agreed to next-day delivery + unpacking later.

And the delays continue…

Next day? Same story.

No call. I called him again.

“Kal possible nahi hai, Tuesday kar dete hain”

At this point, it was clear—he just keeps pushing things to the next day with zero planning.

Missing items – the worst part

During packing, since they were rushing, they didn’t label everything properly.

They use a numbering system—anything without a number = basically gone.

During unloading, we noticed items missing immediately.

They said:

“Sir, godown mein hoga, mil jayega”

I didn’t want to create a scene then (huge mistake), so I agreed.

What we’ve actually lost (so far)

Now that things have settled and we’ve taken stock, here are some of the items we never received back:

Clothes stand

~30–40m wire + pipe setup used for EV charging (~₹8,000)

Mopping bucket and rod

Multiple smaller household items here and there

And the pattern is very clear:

👉 Anything that wasn’t numbered during packing is missing.

👉 And none of those items have been recovered till date.

Current situation

It’s been weeks now.

Some of my items are still missing

Initially, Jai Prakash used to respond

Now he has completely stopped replying

TL;DR

Poor planning

Last-minute changes

Understaffed team

Extremely unprofessional behavior

Missing items with no resolution

Agent ghosting after payment

DO NOT BOOK AGARWAL PACKERS & MOVERS.

If you’re in Bangalore, seriously consider other options. This was one of the most stressful moving experiences I’ve had.
