On this day, 114 years ago, on April 11th at 11:30, RMS Titanic rides at anchor in Queenstown harbor, about two miles from land and also 113 third-class and seven second-class passengers board from tenders with 1385 bags of mail.

Seven passengers disembark, including Frank Browne, photographer of the biggest photo collection of RMS Titanic we have now. The tenders Ireland and America shuttle passengers and luggage, and it took them half an hour to reach the Titanic. The port was not deep enough for Titanic to dock so she lay out in the harbor.

Fireman John Coffey deserted the ship, as he lived in Queenstown and used Titanic only as a free trip home from Southampton. Coffey hides himself under mail bags, and lived to the age of 68, passing away in 1957.

On this day 114 years ago, April 8, RMS Titanic officers overlooked workers hanging high above the boat deck in bosun chairs as they painted the ship's funnels. Loading of food and other products were ongoing.
In just two days ship will set sail and Titanic's maiden voyage shall commence.
