Looking for advice before I pull the trigger- Precision truck purchase

I think I want to go with Valkyrie mk4 slalom for the front and DT poppy 20 degree in the rear. I wanna pull the trigger today.

I ride a Superdupersonic on Hokus

I plan to keep these trucks for a while, could potentially be used on a bracket set up down the road.

Has anybody run a 20° truck on the rear of the supersonic? My thought was that the 20° precision truck could mount at either a 3° or a 20° depending on which mount location you use.

Will Valks, Hokus, and a Superdupersonic be a reliable rig?

My goal is a high speed pumper. Don’t really know how to describe my riding style. Up and down hilly and bumpy bike trails. My pace sits around 10 miles an hour right now, but I’d like to move that up. I pump basically 100% of the time that I’m out there, but I have no issues using my feet to climb hills or keep myself in the pocket. I have a skate pole in the mail.

First 30 mile skate, wedge collapsed.

I hit a few benchmarks tonight. Longest distance i have rode to date, and I maintained my personal arbitrary pace goal of 10 mph for the duration.

I have a wedge in the front that appears to be 3d printed, the layers split apart last night which caused my front truck to come loose and I caught some massive wheel bit. Fortunately I wear pads and carry tools so tightens things back up and finished out

Precision trucks?

I am new-ish to the hobby. Recently snapped the king on my Bear trucks and have fallen down the rabbit hole of precision trucks. There are a lot of options out there and not really a ton of info on any of them. I have a Superdupersonic right now, I want to upgrade to a bracket board down the line. I will likely only upgrade the front, since it’s such a high price point and a precision rear that fits the Superdupersonic won’t be compatible on a bracket.

So far I have seen Lepsk8, Don’t trip, Ronin, Valkyrie, MK

Anyone have a brand they recommend?

A brand to stay away from?

General advice on upgrading with the intention of building a bracket set up at some point down the line?

Edit: So I do realize that king pins are subject to fail and will be a common concern and point of maintenance. The reason I included the break in the post was because until then I had no reason to look into other trucks. Now that I have, I want to upgrade, not so much to reduce the KP issue but because I want a more well built and efficient truck for LDP.

Little bit of off roading on the 103mm’s part of a 20 mile ride last night, little under 10 mph pace. Tried taking more clips in my phone but the videos did not turn out great.

Kingpin snapped while out for a ride tonight. I’m two maybe 3 miles from my car. I had just hit 20 miles an hour going down a hill less than a mile before the break I always ride with full pads, helmet and gloves so I only got a little scratch where my pads didn’t cover.

Boy felt dialed before the snap. He was gonna run my second night of 10 mile an hour pace. I had just decided I was gonna shoot for 30 miles tonight, i’m sure I’d lose my pace. I was barely hanging on.

Glad things weren’t worse. Little annoyed to be walking back. Any thoughts on what would cause this?

Been a goal of mine since I started the hobby last fall. I wanted to average 10 mph over 15 miles and then hopefully start to extend the distance l can hold that pace. 2 nights ago for the first time I kept my average moving speed at 10 mph thru 20 miles.

Patheon Superdupersonic

Hokus

Bear 40s front and back

Front on 1/2 riser 80a Defcons and wedged to 58

Rear on 1/2 riser 90a Independent bushings and wedged to 14

I had been riding with a Sk8pole until it broke last week, that was also around the time I tweaked my board setup. Board feels good rn I do wanna tweak it a little further. I am surprised to be hitting my best pace without a pole tho. I’ll be doing some more testing, I have a Supaddle arriving today (hopefully).
