Hello fellow MA users, specially the theatre/dance/…and related lockers.

We all know, that the color control stuff is not where the MA shines. Getting the right tone from f.i. (🤪) an ETC Lustr X8 with the MA is a pain. 8 different LEDs. And the console doesn’t help you, because ETC wants to sell also consoles.

I tested a few times the ETC console with their X3, and damn. Their color, hue, saturation control is next to none. But only with their own EOS family consoles… they call it metamers. And it truly is amazing. But without the EOS console….

So. Coemar HD-6 studio/theatre version is what I ended up getting. Less frequencies in the adaptive colorscheme to play with I know, BUT!

They have a really nice DMX-map that I have fallen in love with. They have a saturation channel.

So basically, set a color temperature from 2700-6500, use the color picker, and then adjust the saturation between those two. Damn thats a time saving innovation if you like playing with tones.

Just wanted to share, i love these fixtures.😘

Fishing…. I am trying to make up my mind for some gobo updates for our heads at our venue. Mostly theatre, some dance/circus, live bands also (and your occasional fair and such…)

I got my windows and blinds gobos covered. And watery plasma stuff. And leafs and break ups covered. Some graphic lines also.

Any recommendations would be appreciated🤓🙏

Just upgraded to 2.4. They finally have the nShot in phasers, which I have been pretty loudly demanding for years.

But. I can’t find a play button. I know it must be there. But where?

So a button that will run through the wanted shots of the phaser.

Yo hive. Sorry a bit out of the MA3 topic, but an MA3 will be at the start of the command chain;)

So need to buy a few sACN—>SMX nodes. RJ45. 8 port, rack mount.

My favourites so far, the Swisson (900€), Pathport (680€), Enttec (dont know), Sundrax (750€).

Any insight?

So… Doing a musical thingie. I got an MA3 running a pixelmapped classic show staircase. Which is in 6 sections wide, and 4 tall.

I have 160pbm as the count. Which resulted in like… cant remember…. ≈250pbm, 4/4 to 6/4, if you want the one on the one. (”Where funk lives” -Kool & the gang)

So. Would also like to add a funky kick with the colours and dimmers.

Gimme some funk ideas pls hive🙃
