I 'm running in to a problem with my T14s amd Gen2 since a week or so.
The problem is that when I close the lid, get it to sleep and the remove the powersupply and wake it up the touchpad nolonger works. The trackpoint and touchscreen still work.

It seems that the problem is with the kernel (6.19 and 7.0) in that it ennumerates the device too early so the touchpad get's not recognised. On 6.19 the solution is to blacklist the hid_generic module.
On the current 7.0.4-200 kernel on fedora this module is compiled in the kernel and can not be unloaded.

I'm looking to get an additional Thinkpad to replace my old "bedroom" laptop I use to watch tv. The old one is a Dell lattitude 6320 with a gen2 I5 and an ssd and 16gb of ram.

I have a T14s gen2 and I'm looking to replace the dell with something newer and not too expensive. So far I've seen a few that have the same processor as my T14s the could be contenders. My question is what is the difference between a P14s a T14s and an L14 (all are gen2 amd ryzen 7)budget is around €400 - €500

When starting emacs I get a bunch of warnings and when I start it wit --debug-init
