Amd and Elan touchpad problem with latest linux kernels
I 'm running in to a problem with my T14s amd Gen2 since a week or so.
The problem is that when I close the lid, get it to sleep and the remove the powersupply and wake it up the touchpad nolonger works. The trackpoint and touchscreen still work.
It seems that the problem is with the kernel (6.19 and 7.0) in that it ennumerates the device too early so the touchpad get's not recognised.
On 6.19 the solution is to blacklist the hid_generic module.
On the current 7.0.4-200 kernel on fedora this module is compiled in the kernel and can not be unloaded.
