Does nerve desensitization work?

I have some sort of condition where mild injuries overly sensitize the nerves in that region for a long period of time, and either gradually nerves calm down in 6 months, or can remain for years and seem like I will have it for life.

Three years ago I was going on a lot of walks in a hilly city, and my shoes were too loose. My big toe was moving too much causing friction. It started to feel sensitive so I put athletic tape on it . Problem seemed to be mostly solved. But i left the tape on for a week and it damaged the toe skin when I took it off. The toe became chronically super sensitive, affecting all walking . What makes it crazy is my opposite big toe became sensitized too , even though the skin was not damaged via athletic tape, and did not have nearly as bad rubbing . I have heard of malfunctioning nervous systems mirroring pain on both sides …

So I am here two years later and the problem still remains. It has calmed down 50% but I have to put a protective cover on my two big toes every time I walk other wise they get sensitized again. The skin has healed LONG AGO, but overactive nerves have decide to move in long term. My only hope I believe is some sort of nerve desensitization protocol because I have no orthopedic damage. Can anyone relate to any of this , or have knowledge on this type of condition and have any advice ? I feel like I need to rewire my broken nervous system , if there is some way. I also have other forms of unexplained chronic pain , muscular back and neck , but want to keep it to one condition for this post. I’ve never been diagnosed but an ortho told me one time I may havr “something like a mild crps” . Any advice on how to make this go away is appreciated!

It helps men with energy /testosterone/blood pressure and sleep. And then I see it “boosts immune system” and and which always freaks me out as it pertains to Uc. Below is what Al say it does. Can anyone draw any conclusions? Am currently doing very well with Entyvio but trying to improve other aspects of life .

Arginine, a semi-essential amino acid, plays a vital role in modulating the immune system by supporting T-cell function, enhancing macrophage activity, and acting as a precursor for nitric oxide (NO) production. It helps regulate both innate and adaptive immune responses, acting as both an immunostimulatory and immunoregulatory agent.[1, 2, 3]
Key Effects of Arginine on the Immune System:
T-Cell Proliferation and Activation: Arginine is essential for optimal T-cell function and proliferation. It is known to reverse post-traumatic T-cell suppression.
Macrophage Polarization: Arginine drives the macrophage switch from the M1 to M2 phenotype, which is crucial for controlling inflammation.
Nitric Oxide (NO) Production: It serves as the primary substrate for nitric oxide synthase (NOS) to produce NO, a critical molecule for killing bacteria and tumors.
Immune Response Regulation: It affects the production of immunoglobulins, which are essential for protecting the body against infections. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Clinical Significance and Deficiency:
Immune Dysfunction: Shortages in arginine can lead to T-cell dysfunction and reduced immune ability to fight infections.
Critical Illness and Cancer: Studies show arginine supplementation can boost the immune system in those with weakened immunity, such as patients with cancer or those suffering from septic shock, by reversing immune suppression.
Inflammatory Disease: Abnormal arginine metabolism is associated with inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and irritable bowel disease. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
