I'm wondering if anyone else has had this happen. I ended up with bad TMJ after a bronchial biopsy, so it was suggested I have trigger point injections into my face, jaw, occipital area etc. by a TMJ doctor, which I did. All he used was lidocaine, nothing else. A month out it looks like I have Bell's Palsy, but basically its a nerve issue. The left side of my face looks like the air got let out of it. My smile won't work on that side, my eye droops and my nose won't move on that side. I have had a CT scan in the ER to check for stroke and Im ok there. I saw a neurologist in the hospital who suggested another neurologist visit, which could not be scheduled for another month out. This is so irritating and disturbing. The TMJ doctor gave me a muscle relaxer and anti-inflammatory to take once a day but I do better with tylenol and the muscle relaxer at night so at least I will sleep. I am wondering how common this is to have happen or if anyone else has experienced it? My calls are not returned by the TMJ doctor and I will not go back to him. I have a non trust of him now. I just got through cancer treatment and am now in remission, yet I find myself having to deal with this. So sad.
