Moving (AZ to TX) soon and after we close on the house first order of business is buying my wife a new Maverick Lariat.

Is there any concern if I contact dealers and say I want to have it delivered on a certain date, or we come by and pick it up with minimal paperwork? Last time we leased a car we spent nearly 3 hours at the dealer and I want to avoid that since it’ll be a busy weekend and we’ll need it to start hauling around applicances soon.

Wondering if this would impact any likelihood of negotiating, or would the “Ford Employee Pricing” would still be in effect

  1. The Mummy (1999) - Put the puzzle box into the puzzle box-shaped hole to unlock the sarcophagus

  2. National Treasure (2004) - Underneath the church, the team puts the pipe into the pipe-shaped hole which opens the passage to the treasure

  3. Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) - She puts the triangle of light into the triangle of light-shaped hole to unlock the hidden chamber

  4. Fifth Element - Team has to put the elemental stones into elemental stone-shaped holes (okay it's just another triangle here) that unlocks the big stone thingy

I always love this trope and would love more examples. Bonus points if they didn't know they had the key on them the whole time.

I'm going to refer to the entity as "Pluribus Monster" since that's what I like to call them.

Spoilers for Pluribus:

Everyone in the world is infected with a hivemind virus. They can telepathically share information instantly, worldwide. If a man stubs his toe in Alaska, a woman in China could know. All information of every living person is shared and communication is instant. Any person infected by the Pluribus Monster can fly a plan, perform surgery, etc. Assume any remaining unaffected are not going to get in the way, and may help with certain tasks if convinced by the Pluribus monster. In the show the Pluribus Monster can not kill, but assume they don't mind fighting and killing alien monsters since otherwise this would be a walk.

Seems like a nightmare scenario for an invading alien race. Would any alien invasion, apocalypse scenario, or invading entity be able to defeat the Pluribus monster?
