Quote Check on my parents Barn/Garage roof.
Parents have a large barn/garage, with a metal corrigated roof (so not a standard install to a home roof with wooden beams).
They've been quoted, from a local installer in North Yorkshire:
* 16 × 480W East Roof & 16 × 480W panels West Roof,
* 1 × Fox ESS KH 9kW 1ph Hybrid Inverter ,
* 18.6 kWh battery storage (Fox ESS 4800 M x 4)
* £14,900
I had an AlphaESS system installed with 7.8kWh storage, 5kW inverter and only 12 panels for £7,500, and have seen other quotes for around £11-13k for larger systems. Am just wondering if the price for a system this sized is reasonable (and the non-standard roof installation)?
The actual size of the system fits their needs, so am more looking for quote value rather than "is that size really necessary). Thanks!
