First small upgrade

So, thanks to the people on this subreddit and their advice i tried replacing stock bushings in my arbor axis 40 - they were barrel/cone 90a, due to limited availability in my country, i went with easiest available option, orangtang nipples and as i weight ~100kg decided to go with hardest version and tbh it was absolute gamechanger, it reduced wobbly/soft middle that was driving me crazy, without taking away wide flowy turns, the board feels alive, loaded and springy, love that feeling. Also speed retention seems to be better with them although it might be that im just pushing better thanks to center stability. I just love the way my board feels now.

Next thing I’m considering is actually replacing wheels, but I’m not sure how big i want to go, not lower than 75 mm, but not sure also how big. Im mostly pulled towards kegels, they seem really nice, but that’s for the future

My first board

Yo, I used to try skating on some cheap-ass decathlon cruiser board few years ago, but it didn’t go well, now since I lost quite a bit weight I decided to pick up longboarding but to not get burnt start with at least decent board. Got myself some 40” arbor axis flagship and yeah, it’s night and day, I’m using it for few weeks now and it’s so nice, stable and actually I quite like the flex of it. So yeah, finally at the ripe age of 35 I will learn how to ride a board.
