Tips For First Time Bathing a Palm Pal?

TLDR: Need optimal Hand-Washing tips for my Palm Pal!
I have a small collection of Palm Pals -
My first ever one, is a banana I named “Schmoop” after a DJ I saw while holding him at the concert 💛 he is from Iowa, and resides in Florida! He is my little travel buddy/rave baby and he goes everywhere with me
That being said, he recently got very dirty just from being at a festival in Suwannee Music Park -
It’s mostly dusty-dirt but i would like to give him a bath, I know he’ll never look like my newer one on the right (bf got me a second banana because I love him sm!) but if there’s a best way to get him clean?
I was planning on using Dawn Dish Soap and warm water in a bucket and hand washing,
Is it better to use cold water in case the beads inside would react to heat? Or should warm water be okay to use?
I’ve washed plushies plenty of times but, Schmoop is my baby and I’d lose my mind if I accidentally made him moldy 🥲
