Planning on getting into the hobby, is this a good plan?
For starters I have been wanting to get into RC planes for years, with my main deterrent being storage and cost (I was only aware of Spektrum transmitters and was scared of the prices), and I've decided that this summer is going to be my time to enter it. I've done lots of research into what plane, and mainly what transmitter to go with. So I wanted to get some feedback on what my current plan is. My main concern at the moment is being budget friendly while also being conscious of future-proofing.
For the plane I am looking at buying a BNF cub plane of some sort (or really any trike, single prop plane). My top two are:
Carbon Cub S2
Turbo Timber 1.5m (used off marketplace for $250, selling because they own the SWS version and don't need both, seems to be in very good if not like new condition)
And for my transmitter, where most of my research has gone, I'm looking at buying the Radiomaster Pocket ELRS, and pairing it with the 4-in-1 module. I'm not completely familiar with all of the different protocols yet, but I think that this combo will allow me to bind to just about any receiver out there while still not being feature limited or too expensive. It'll also not be a transmitter that I will grow out of anytime soon (I think).
