Doing Great
My surgery was yesterday. Removed everything, ovaries, tubes, uterus, cervix and some lymph nodes, due to precancerous endometrium cells. I'm almost 67, overweight and out of shape. lol. I went in expecting the worse, and today I can't believe how good I'm doing. Robotic laproscopic. I have 5 incisions that were glued, along with accompanying colorful bruising. My abdomen is a bit sore but no worse that perhaps starting new exercises, etc. I'm taking ibuprofen/tylenol, but feel I can start reducing it. Had to be at the hospital 6:15am. Got home about 3:30. I started feeling much better once I had something to eat. it had been a long time since food. of course I'm not going to do anything crazy, but I really feel like I can do all my normal stuff. No gas pains or anything. I bought some stuff thinking I would need it, but ending up not needing anything special. Peeing stings a bit, but I'm sure that will pass soon. my throat has a bit of mucous from the endotracheal tube. I'm just very happy that this has been so easy for me.
