Full term baby in NICU with episodes of rapid breathing and body rashes

Sending so much love to all moms with babies in NICU, it’s the hardest thing to do. Our boy was born 4 days ago via c-section, he was breech. Came out weighing 9 pounds fully healthy looking and I couldn’t imagine him being in the NICU. They said he got fluids in his lungs and needs a bit of help transitioning. They kept him in the NICU for 2 days, then released for a day when it was noticed that there is some rash popping up on his skin (some clusters, some lone) + rapid breathing episodes continued post feeds. Therefore, he is back in NICU as of late last night…

This whole breathing effort that he has to make (regardless of oxygen levels being great) has had me worried like crazy. They are discharging me today and it breaks my heart to go home without him. I don’t know how long it would take for him to come home, we’re waiting on some cultures. X-Ray was clear. So unsettling.
