Did landscaping and work DIY, Here's what I have to fix most...

I Did landscaping for about 5 years (patios, decking, fencing). Worked in DIY Retail store in the building department for around 2. Here the one thing I had to quote the most and Here's how I'd work out materials for a 4m x 3m patio (12m²):

Sub-base: 100mm MOT Type 1, about 2.4 to 2.8 tonnes (10% allowance for compaction)
Bedding: about 845kg sharp sand + 211kg cement (4:1 by weight, 40mm deep)
Mixing it yourself: about £150 vs £490.10 for premixed bags (my shelf prices, check yours)

And the thing most beginners skip: a cement priming coat on the back of every slab.

I've put this into a free calculator that does rectangles, L-shapes and circles. Would that be useful to anyone planning a patio?

This will work for any metric or pricing, just adjust to your local currency

Digital products are flooding the market - here’s how to find a winning one

I built a simple method for finding digital product ideas before you spend weeks creating them

One of the biggest mistakes I see people make with digital products is starting with:

"What should I create?"

I think the better question is:

"What problem are people already trying to solve?"

That’s the idea behind The Problem Pocket Method.

It’s a simple framework for:

  • Finding problems people are actively looking for solutions to
  • Turning those problems into potential digital product ideas
  • Validating demand before spending a ton of time creating
  • Structuring an offer around the problem rather than just the product
  • Finding ways to actually sell the finished product

I’ve put together a free version of the method for anyone who wants to try the process without buying anything.

The goal isn't to convince you to create another random ebook/course/template and hope someone buys it.

It’s to start with demand → identify the problem → create the solution → then sell it.

If you're interested, I can share the free version in the comments.

I'd also genuinely love to hear from people who already sell digital products:

What’s your biggest challenge: finding ideas, validating demand, creating the product, or getting sales?
