It’s only a short clip, but I’m already loving the chemistry between Zhang Jingyi and Li Xian 😍

Love this new promo clip they released today of their upcoming drama - A touch of green.

Dialogue in the clip:

Chen Qingwu: make a wish.

Chen Qingwu: how is it? surprised?

Meng Fuyuan: what if i can’t handle a surprise like this?

Chen Qingwu: then i’ll give you CPR.

Meng Fuyuan: how about another way? 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨

The director really said No CGI, we’re taking this scene to a real desert

Love seeing the BTS of this scene compared to the actual one. I had no idea they filmed it in a real desert and Ding Yuxi actually had to run that far. I know it’s their job, but it’s still so cool seeing what goes on behind the scenes. I thought the actual scene was done really well too, especially with that BGM.

Drama - The road to splendor

Not Ding Yuxi being dragged for being a bad actor & ugly...

Now listen, I totally get that he is not the most phenomenal or technically brilliant actor, but his actually a really good actor who clearly puts a lot into his roles. One thing about DYX is that he just has this presence that makes him so enjoyable to watch. And the way he uses his eyes?? That’s honestly one of my favourite things about his acting. Even in weaker dramas, I’ve always enjoyed his performances.

I think his doing a fantastic job in The Road to Splendor and I genuinely don’t understand what people find so terrible about his acting in this role so far. The drama just dropped recently.

As for his looks, I can understand why some people might not find him attractive, but his definitely NOT ugly. I think it’s more his charm that pulls you in. Between his talent, his presence and the way he carries himself off-screen, I personally find him very attractive.

Ding Yuxi never misses when it comes to playing a man in love.

If Ding Yuxi is the ML, you already know that man is going to be DEVOTED. His eyes always says so much when it comes to portraying love!

This has got to be one of my new favorite romantic scenes from the road to splendor! So beautifully done even the BGM!

Who are your favorite examples of men who are devoted and in love in cdramas?

Is anyone else loving the Road to Splendor with Ding Yuxi and Deng Enxi?

The visuals and cinematography look stunning. Plus both characters played by Ding Yuxi and Deng Enxi look equally interesting. Is anyone following this drama, and loving it?

I keep seeing clips and beautiful pictures popping up on my feed.

Which two actors would you love to see cast as leads together because you just KNOW they’d SLAY? 🔥

Song Zuer and Leo Wu already had a wuxia drama together in 2020, but I feel like they would be even better now! Just seeing this edit made me go WOW!

This edit is a combination of their roles from love like the Galaxy and Prisoner of Beauty (song zuer).

Dilraba can really carry any outfit!

Thoughts on Dilraba?

I definitely see the star quality and charisma. I can't doubt that, her aura is insane. Plus she comes across as intelligent and funny offscreen. People says she's famous for her looks, but I've seen plenty of gorgeous people with a really bland presence. For me it's not her looks, it's how she carries herself. Her confidence and presence is something unique to her.

As for acting I think she is pretty good (not excellent). Sword rose for me showed her best acting skills. For most of her roles, she is very mesmerizing and knows how to use her eyes at times. I've seen her play badass characters to mature ones to cute ones, and I think she's done well in most of them. Plus she's got this quality of elevating her pairings and bringing out some amazing chemistry (but I mainly see this with her mature pairings, actors in her age group). Overall she's very fun to watch and so gorgeous.

Was Blossoms of power worth the time for you?

This drama looks beautiful interms of aesthetics, costumes and the cast. But I would love to know if others actually found it interesting or a good watch :)

Wang Churan & Zhang Linghe: preview of their variety show appearance

Love the hand placement scene! 💘

u/Dragonfruitbomb — 1 month ago

What's your example of this?

I'm sorry but Cheng Yi was really not good in The Journey to Legend. The trailer had me hyped to see him, but his performance lacked the usual spark and was just bland. However, he was good in Vendetta of An last year!!

Would also add Zhao Lusi in Story of Pearl Girl, I usually enjoy her dramas, but there was something so inauthentic about how she portrayed her role. I couldn’t even feel her pain because it felt like she was performing for dear life. She also looked oddly out of place compared to how natural she was in love like the Galaxy. It was certainly not her best.

Who do you think had the best chemistry with Zhao Jinmai: Zhang Linghe or Song Weilong?

I would say ZJMs pairing with Song Weilong in Shine on me. For me, they just had that romantic spark. I thought she and Zhang Linghe had chemistry in Princess royal and Our Generation but I felt her pairing with SWL was much more convincing.

Which actor has the most impressive chemistry résumé?

Even good actors can have hits and misses in the chemistry department, but what counts is how often they are able to really sell the chemistry!

Cheng Lei could create chemistry with a slice of bread. I love how he conveys passion and love through his eyes. He makes almost every romance feel believable and passionate!

Some of my other favorites are Bai Lu, Dilraba, Esther Yu, Lu Yuxiao, and Xu Ruohan. They all have a knack for elevating their pairings and bringing out that spark. I've enjoyed most of their romantic pairings.
