I (F) am mostly doing gaming streams on YouTube and my audience is almost exclusively subscribers, I plan on doing edited videos in the future which I assume would help. How can I get the algorithm to show my videos to a wider audience? Both uploads and live streams.

I just started streaming gaming content using OBS studios and it's not going too bad, obviously some issues here and there but I manage.
I want to edit my streams into shorter, more entertaining videos.
I am really struggling, I've downloaded DaVinci resolve for editing and I'm figuring out how to use it, but I have absolutely no idea how to edit from the stream itself! The audio ends up on one track so it's really difficult to play with music (which I love and find it's more entertaining for the streams) and I have no idea what parts to scrap other than some bits of silence. Then I need to figure out an eye catching thumbnail on top of that!
It's such a daunting task and I just need some advice.
