Need advice/help
My cat Luke was diagnosed about 2 months ago. First we switched to the food the vet recommended and measured it out by his weight. Over the next 2 weeks he already began showing to be more food aggressive before we got to the point of starting him on insulin.
Fast forward to now, he is up to 4.5 units twice a day of insulin and 2 meals of 1/3 cup but the food aggression had began to get out of control. He goes to the sink to lick dirty dishes we haven't cleaned from our meal we just made, or trying to get into trash to eat any scraps. We have increased his food and while trying to keep his levels within range but anytime I think we found a balance he starts to go to the sink over and over.
It has my anxiety going off the charts and makes me feel like all the effort is wasted. What can I do?
