Things I liked in IKKA (spoiler)

https://i.redd.it/s0wvjf4ptjch1.gif

Since everyone is disappointed at the movie, i thought i would like talk about some points

  1. Akshaye did such a great job- you can just feel his aura was off from the beginning. Shaurya was a vile man, even if he was innocent or not. Atleast Rehman Dakait was charming while Shaurya wad just a rich brat. Hated him a lot. His fake crying in the court, lol he almost got me there, i thought he genuinely was feeling sad for the girl.
  2. That slap scene was awesome, like it was so similar to Dhurandhar and yet different. Dia mirza slaps him and she is disappointed at him, and then he was about to caress her, because he understands her pain. I loved it. This scene felt genuine even though he was pretending to be innocent and he was evil all along.
  3. Women characters- Dia mirza and sunny deol bond was breadth of fresh air. We have never seen any couple in bollywood where women already have a baby with another men out of marriage and then she get accepted by her next partner. While opposite have been done quite often. But frankly, sunny and dia were mismatched, they had zero chemistry together.
  4. The thing about consent- the fact Soma went out with Saurya, means she was clearly interested in him, but she didn't wanted to get intimate with him. This scene was done good, like Shaurya was evil but even he didn't degraded her character. He could have said something like "she went out with him, so he have right on her, he paid for her bill, this kind of girls are like that, bar to bed -bed to bar" you know something like that where he would have given any mysogynistic remarks, that 370 biryani type of guy exist who take consent for granted just because a girl accepted a date.

Shaurya killed her, it was an accident, because Soma suddenly attacked him. I am not defending shaurya but this something to point out about him. He understood consent. Am i over analysing too much??Why do i feel this movie was supposed to be good but someone Effed it up???

  1. The ending!!!! Is it just me or anyone else thought Shaurya is innocent? It could have been such a nuisance take for a grey character- He is certainly a bad person because he had done something bad in the past, so everyone is inclined to believe that he did it, everyone blamed him but he was truly innocent. I for sure thought that someone was framing him to get to his father and ruining his father political career.

  2. The execution was bad, some dialogues were so stupid. Shaurya suddenly using hindi words like 'apmanit'. Who wrote these lines???? So much excessive melodrama- the screentime could have 30min less. The bg music were annoying. The color grading made the movie more unserious. Akshaye clothes were so bad.
