Picking of scab - am i screwed

I have a horrible habit of skin picking from my diagnosed OCD to the point it bleeds, I ended up picking up the scab on the scar of my incision. It was dry and the skin around was peeling itself, so i kinda just ended up picking it further

I didn't sense any pain or bleeding and it came off rather easily, but does it look a little more red than it should be? Is this going to prompt infection by any chance? I'm probably overthinking but a little paranoid now

Goes without saying that I will not even think of touching the wound area anymore

21 days post OP - Progress Check

Hello, just got my splint removed and have a boot now so can see the foot properly now.

Doctor seems satisfied with progress till now, but just wanted to get an understanding of how 3 weeks post surgery looked for you guys. Does the swelling and healing of the wound look decent?

i have been told that weight bearing will only start post 4-5 weeks more so a little impatient with recovery. also no major physio therapy has been mentioned apart from trying to increase ROM, were you guys told to do something major before weight bearing was started?

Thanks all! Hope everyone at whatever stage of their recovery is doing well :D

I am being a straight up asshole to everyone around me even though they are doing their best to take care of me. I am blessed with loving parents and family who are checking in and ensuring i have no discomfort. My girlfriend is trying her best despite balancing hectic work hours, travelling from far to see me regularly and also letting away a lot of rude stuff I am doing

I just got diagnosed with a UTI, making things worse. I joined back work (remotely) 7 days post surgery due to the less number of leaves my workplace gives me which is adding to some stress and irritability

I am actively trying to not be a dick, but it really becomes tough. I start snapping instantly if anyone tries any form of small talk.

Did anyone else experience something like this? Really feeling guilty and want to do better

*I've already contacted my doctor and he said this is not infection of the wound, but I just wanted to understand if this is common, hence the post, not seeking medical advice*

Hello, did anyone have a slow fever post surgery? I'm 11 days post surgery and just stopped regular paracetamol, have started having slow fever which also peaked to 102.1: at night but has largely been around the 99-100.8 mark otherwise. Im still on my 10 day course of anti biotics

The pain hasn't changed on the wound, i only have a bit of nerve shooting pain which is largely i understand the nerve regeneration coming into place.

Have also got a blood test done, so will know if any viral infection, doctor said it could be that. I have my visit with my doctor tomorrow, so they will inspect the wound anyway but I am overall very anxious as to whether there will be any major issues and complications if there's a delay in inspecting the wound
