Not sure if ako lang, pero medyo nag iba na talaga dating ng Davao Food Guide lately.
They actually visited our place, so I got to see how they work firsthand. Honestly, medyo na surprise lang ako. Dumating sila, tried the food, took content, then left. Walang tanong about the dishes, no effort to understand what’s in the food, or even what makes it different. As in parang checklist lang. Taste, shoot, then next.
As someone na nasa negosyo, medyo disappointing lang kasi you’d expect kahit konting curiosity man lang. Food isn’t just something you film, diba. May context yun, may kwento.
Napansin ko rin over time na parang everything they post is “masarap”. Gets naman, positive content works. Pero when everything is good, parang wala nang meaning yung recommendation.
You start to wonder kung alin dun yung legit na standout. Tried a few places na na feature nila and to be honest, hit or miss. May iba okay, pero marami din na sakto lang or honestly walay lami. Pero pagdating sa content, parang lahat pang top tier.
Not saying they’re bad, and obviously they help a lot of businesses get exposure. Pero compared before, parang mas curated na yung honesty. You can feel na iba na yung intent.
Baka ako lang, pero curious if others feel the same?
