stubborn belly… help :/

stubborn belly… help :/

i’m 21 and was diagnosed with PCOS last year. since then i’ve lost about 30 lbs (220->190), 20 of which was in the past few months. despite this, i cannot lose any belly fat, and some days with this insane bloating i feel even bigger than before the loss. i’m on multiple meds and supplements (spiro, BC, metformin, inositol, magnesium glycinate, fish oil), i eat in a slight calorie deficit and try to be mindful when picking foods, and i walk after dinner every day and weight lift 2-3x a week. im being patient but im also so tired of seeing zero progress and i feel like i look pregnant most of the time. does anyone who’s lost the belly have any advice? i feel stuck.

stubborn belly fat is making me miserable

i’m 21 and since high school i’ve been slightly obese with almost all of the extra weight going to my stomach/thighs. i was diagnosed with PCOS last year and since then ive lost about 25lbs by eating more consciously, taking new supplements and medications (spironoloctane, BC, ovasitol, fish oil, magnesium) and walking a bit more.

but despite all of this my huge stomach has not even budged. i feel so disproportionate with how massive my stomach is and a huge apron belly, it feels like i’m pregnant most of the time— especially after meals when i bloat a little extra. i just started a daily 500 mg dose of metformin a little over a week ago and im praying that maybe this will give me the extra boost to start losing some of the fat because genuinely it’s crushing my mental health and im starting to feel hopeless. i know these things all take time and i try my best to be patient, but especially as a college girl with smaller friends and social media where everyone seems to have a perfect body nowadays, the days waiting for change feel painful :(

stubborn belly fat/weight

title is pretty self explanatory, i’m 21 and got diagnosed with PCOS a year ago. i’ve been much more attentive to my health in the past few months (especially when im home for the summer and not at college), and ive dropped from about 208-210 to 198-200 lbs in the past couple months (im 5’6, so im overweight).

i know that progress takes time, especially with PCOS, but it’s frustrating that i see zero change with my body. i try to eat 1800-2000 cals a day, prioritizing protein, and i take a 25 min incline walk after dinner every day along with a 15 min weight workout in my basement a few times a week. i also take BC, ovasitol, fish oil, and in the past month ive started spironiloctane (to combat my very high testosterone, lol). admittedly i would probably benefit from less processed/pre packaged foods, but i have ADHD and am newer to cooking so making fresh things from scratch has been a bit difficult for me to start doing regularly.

my doctor says she will try putting me on metformin in about a month after i get my breast reduction done (yay!), but i was just curious about how long it took for anyone else to see results. i’ve been a bit chubby all my life, but now especially it’s so frustrating that i’ve been working hard for months and have noticed zero change while doing everything i can think of, and im so insecure with my huge B belly and thighs :,)

any suggestions or words of wisdom? thanks!
