I have been recently formally diagnosed with sleep apnea from the VA. The VA DR, is unwilling to connect the two. She stated "anxiety is does not cause sleep apnea."

I firmly believe this is because they are trained to not give opinions that can lead to VA disability ratings. It could be seen as a conflict of interest or something.

I have read several articles, NIH studies and even post about a successful rating for Sleep Apnea secondary to Anxiety.

What advice do you all have to create a nexus to connect Sleep Apnea to Anxiety? I would like to avoid paying for a nexus if possible.
