I've just downloaded Endnote and I'm trying to export a citation into it from Google Scholar. When I click 'Import into Endnote', I get an error message saying 'Adobe Acrobat could not open 'scholar.enw' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged'.

I'm able to open the journal pdf if I just click on it regularly (as in, I'm not trying to access it through Endnote') but I want to link it with Endnote to obviously make like easier with referencing. So I've got nothing coming up in Endnote. I've tried importing the citation through Chrome and Microsoft Edge, no dice.

Any suggestions on what I can do?

I'm guessing I need to enable or disable something??
