HK45 for Southpaw

HK45 for Southpaw

Left-handed shooter here - recently added an HK45 and notice the low-profile slide release on the right side of gun has sharp angles and if my support hand thumb rests there it doesn't seem as comfortable as the left side release which is polished, soft and rounded. I could probably rest my support hand thumb ahead of slide release on the plastic cutout there or get used to the low-profile (sharp) slide release but am curious what other lefty shooters think? I wonder also if Heckler & Koch offer a more ergonomic right side slide release lever?
