Finding Engineering Jobs
Hey everyone, I am a 25M from the United States but I am a dual citizen of USA/Spain. I moved to Spain to be close to family a few months ago and have been looking for engineering jobs anywhere in Spain. Posting here because this type of post doesn’t seem to be allowed in the askspain subreddit. A little about my background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Fluent English / B1 Spanish and improving
- 3 years of experience as a chemical engineer in a high-tech environment
- I have my American drivers license but not a Spanish one yet
I have had little luck even landing an interview. I have pretty much only been using LinkedIn for job hunting and almost every job is EasyApply, which feels like throwing my CV straight to the trash, it doesn’t even get viewed. Is it really this hard to find engineering jobs or am I doing something wrong? Are there other job boards that are better than LinkedIn? Any tips or advice will be greatly appreciated.
And yes I understand the pay is going to be substantially lower than the US or even other EU countries but I would really like to be able to stay in Spain so it is something I am okay with.
