So I joined the gym back in Feb went for a month and stopped. Decided finally to get back to it. Total novice and beginner. Even signing up was a big deal for me - out of all things gym anxiety is something that held me back. Finally said fuck it I’m not gonna let that stop me. Anyways, I have no idea if I’m even doing anything right. So far it’s usually 10/15 mins of incline treadmill before doing a few machines that don’t look intimidating. The gym I’m at atm isn’t as nice a location as the one back in feb so I hadn’t really explored it, and literally just stuck to the lower body section. Usually leg press, leg extension, hip adductions and abductions. Haven’t touched upper body yet bc I’ve just been avoiding it. If I’m confused I use TikTok or YouTube to show me how to use a machine, but no clue if I’m even doing enough or anything. Like surely a few machines isn’t gonna do much. Sorry if I’m ignorant. Anyways my food choices aren’t super great so obviously I have to work on that in tandem. Any any any advice helps.

For context I’ve been chubby/overweight for most my teens. My lowest was 65kg in the beginning of the year, but I’m sitting at abt 73kg rn and I’m 160cm. My lifestyle is sedentary especially since I’m a student. 65kg was amazing and if I could hit 60kg I’d be perfect- or just be stronger rather than skinny fat at 60 kg? I’m not sure really.
