Hi everyone,
I know next to nothing about slide rules but my husband really likes them. Maybe every six months or so he’ll say something along the lines of “slide rules are so cool I want one”. I honestly don’t know why he hasn’t brought himself one, but regardless I impulsively bought this one off eBay as an anniversary present. I really have no clue what I’ve purchased, and I only bought it because I thought it was nice it came in the original box. What do y’all think?

Hi everyone, I will be graduating with my MS this July. I expected to be graduating in May but due to some supply delays my thesis defense was delayed as well. The university I attended only has commencement ceremonies in May and in December. My thesis committee wants me to walk the stage in December, but for lack of a better word that just feels cringe. I don’t know why but I feel weird about graduating (on paper), then almost half a year later getting all dressed up and attending the ceremony.

I told my parents of my current plan to not attend any ceremony after I realized that I would be graduating in the summer. I think it maybe upset my mom, so I am feeling torn and I could use some other input.
