Hi! I am planning to go to Canada this October, a family friend invited me to celebrate a birthday celebration and visit tourist spots in Vancouver, British Columbia. This will be my first time traveling alone and I have travelled to other countries before too but with my family. I already travelled to Japan, Korea - mostly SEA countries. I will be staying with my family friend for the whole 2 weeks of my stay there so they will cover the accommodation, local transportation, meals during family events. I have a job but as a healthcare worker and working in a private tertiary hospital, my salary is not really high and my savings not that big either. My mom will pay for my roundtrip ticket and basically she will assist with my travel expenses. My family friend personally made an invitation letter (she is a PR in Canada) and personal expenses will be on my own accord.

Considering everything, I know my profile is weak since I have low salary and not enough money in my bank but if I include my mom’s bank statements and asset would that help strengthen my application since I will declare that she will help in sponsoring me? I have funds for a 2 weeks stay, at least enough for personal expenses plus my mom’s assistance. My mom previously obtained a Schengen Visa so I am confident with her background and she’s got a lot of assets too. I want to know if there are similar experiences with me wherein they are also sponsored for their Canada trip. I just want honest opinions if I have a chance for approval. I will provide all the necessary documents as much as I can - COE, invitation letter, sponsorship letter from my mom, her bank statement, my bank statement, itinerary, etc.

Sa mga may experience po dyan, your advice is very much welcome and appreciated po. Thank you so much! 🙏🏼
