Moving to Vancouver 🌆

Hi all, I(27M) am starting a new job at Amazon and moving to Vancouver from Montreal. Very excited to be in the new city and explore the mountains. I love hiking, kayaking, just chilling in parks/cafes and exploring new food places. Also want to restart sports, likely tennis or badminton.

I am looking for recommendations on which neighborhoods are great to rent a large studio or 1Bed apartment. I am looking to utilize transit for daily office commute but also planning on owning a car in few months for other uses and long trips.

Is it realistic to get an apartment under 2100/month including utilities and after negotiating? which neighborhoods can fit in this budget? What is a good budget in main Vancouver city?

What are the best places to look for renting? I found craigslist has cheaper options than marketplace. If craigslist legit or filled with scammers? Or should I just target rental companies through their websites (I don't know any in Vancouver yet).

I know its a lot of questions, I am overwhelmed currently. Thank you in Advance for the help ✌️

Amazon SDE New-grad loop - North America

Hello Everyone,
I have an upcoming new-grad loop at Amazon. There are 4 rounds in total but recruiter haven't shared any specific pattern for each round.
Based on recent posts on here, I am assuming its AI round, Bar-Raiser, LLD and DSA round. Is this the pattern among the latest interviews?

This is my first time interviewing at Amazon, what exactly to expect in Bar-Raiser and AI round? Are these purely BQ or also include DSA? Would really appreciate if you could share any recent experiences and type of questions for these rounds.

Also any good resources for recently asked DSA, LLD, BQ, AI-related questions?

Thanks in Advance ✌️

Upcoming Microsoft SDE2 Full-Loop

Hi, I have a full-loop interview coming up for SDE-2 (IC3) Microsoft (North America - Fabric Data Eng Team), and would be really grateful for any recent experience or guidance.

I am a bit confident about DSA ( except Graphs and 2D-DP Hards), but really worried about SD (I haven't had any SD rounds in past). I only have a week to prepare (didn't have much flexibility in choosing dates). I have read System Design Interview (by Alex Xu), and going though hello-interview SD playlist. Is this enough? Are there any other better resources for quick preparation?

I checked with recruiter about SD round and she said the interviews will mostly focus on problem solving and less SD, but she didn't feel confident in the answer or may not be completely aware. Problem-solving can include both i guess. Should I expect only DSA or also HLD or LLD questions (I have 3 rounds in total)?

For DSA, what topics are they most interested in? I got a LinkedList and Heap based question in Screening round.

Thanks in advance for any help ✌️
