Bikepack training tips
Hi all,
I’m planning to do a small, week long bikepacking trip this August, totalling ~200km, with some rolling hills throughout. This will be my first bikepacking trip, so my plan is to train beforehand in preparation.
I’m looking for free training plans to do with an indoor stationary bike or free weights, as the area I live in doesn’t have the safest roads for cycling. I plan to go out once every weekend still, I’d just rather limit my time in less than optimal conditions. I understand stationary bikes don’t completely translate to outdoor cycling, but I’m hoping to make the best with what I have.
I have a pretty good cardio base already, as I run frequently and recently completed a half marathon in under 2 hours, so I’m mostly looking to build up targeted muscle groups.
If anyone knows of any resources or even tips for training and preparing, it would be greatly appreciated!
