We gave our notice last year December, within the legal requirement on our contract of one month (rolling contract) it's been 5 months and we still can't get our deposit back as they are claiming our tenancy is still going and active. We have emails of our notice and even a couple where they have acknowledged us moving out. Since then they refused to answer us via email and phone. The deposit scheme won't take our claim any further as they have seen the Landlords have claimed we still live there and decided to close the case, even though we have all the evidence very clearly showing us giving notice etc. How can we take this further? What should we do?
