First Timeless Simple

First Timeless Simple

Finally got it done this morning!
I’ve been working toward this since late April, and I’m seriously pumped to have hit it. It took plenty of rest between attempts to stay fresh, but that made the difference.
The biggest thing holding me back turned out to be my grip position. I was letting the bell bend my wrist back, which made everything feel unstable and uncomfortable. Once I got the grip dialed in and kept my wrist stacked, the movement felt much smoother.
Next up: a six-week run of Total Tension, then I’m planning to move into Rite of Passage.
Man, I love kettlebells. This stuff is awesome.

Creeping up on Timeless Simple

Hello all, been doing S&S since May and am currently working with a 26kg. Got back to back TGU’s for 2 reps this morning without putting the bell down. I got 1 rep each side with a 32kg a couple weeks ago so my plan is to step up 2kg a week and see how I feel. This has been such a fun and rewarding experience so far!!!

I’ve starting working in some of the movements from ROP as Dan John suggested in the article things are going so well help me screw it up part II. I’ll probably try timed simple before moving on to ROP just for fun. The book suggests learning the other movements once you hit timeless simple so I’m sticking with that protocol. I definitely want to hit all the goals but I’ve learned to be more patient as I’ve progressed through S&S.

I know a lot of people are doing ABF these days and I’ll probably cycle it through once I run ROP for a while. Currently half my BW is around 48kg so we’ll see how this goes and 200 snatches in 10 minutes seems very far away from my limited experimentation so far.

Anyways just documenting progress and would love to hear about others experience on this path or any feedback back is welcome. Love this sub and all the information I’ve gleaned from it so far, YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!

Just recently started with kettle bells after my work schedule and a gf made it increasingly difficult to get to the gym. I’ve been consuming as much information as I can through YouTube, podcast, and a few books trying to figure out what works best for me. I’ve been listening to Kettle Bell Corner and even ordered the book Kettle Bell Ballistics. Seems this guy goes super in depth on the physics of Kettle Bells. Has anybody else looked into this before or have insight on these ideas? Don’t come for me I’m new!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
